Geneva

Bern
The citizens of Bern (German), or Berne (French) enjoy a quality of life that is recognised as being one of the highest in the world It is the de facto capital of Switzerland and houses the National Parliament in the Bundeshaus, which was built between 1857 - 1902. The medieval old town has been designated a UNESCO world heritage site and attractions include the medieval clock tower, called the Zytglogge (Bernese German for time bell) and the Bundeshaus which has stunning fountains in front of it.
The city has a population of 132,000 and is German-speaking although the most common spoken language here is the Alemannic dialect, which is also called Bernese German. It is situated slightly to west of the centre of Switzerland.

Lucerne
Lucerne is a leading tourist destination which was ranked the 5th most popular in the world in 2010 by Tripadvisor. The city’s most famous landmark is the 14th century Chapel Bridge with its tower and inside the bridge are 17th century paintings. Lugano

St Gallen
St Gallen is one of the highest cities in Switzerland and as a result sees plenty of snowfall in winter. The whole city of St Gallen is an archaeological heritage site and the main tourist attraction, the Abbey of St Gall, is a designated UNESCO World Heritage site. Winterthur
